What is Acupressure?

Acupressure Points for Colds and Flu

Colds are caused by viruses that thrive in your nose and throat when the temperature, acidity, and moisture suit them. Acupressure Points for headaches and migraines.

Most headaches are caused primarily by tension, which constricts the blood vessels that supply oxygen to the brain. A headache is the body’s warning signal that the brain may not be getting enough oxygen. Too often, we choose to repress the warning signals of a headache by taking aspirin, instead of dealing with the stress and the real cause. Shoulder & Neck Tension Relief using Acupressure

Step 1

Shoulder Grasp: Curve your fingers, of both hands, and place them on the tops of your shoulder muscles (GB 21), close to the base of your neck. Gradually apply firm pressure directly on to your shoulder tension. Simply let the weight of your arms relax forward, keeping your fingers curved like a hook. Sink deeply into the muscles as they soften and relax. Hold for one minute as you take slow, deep breaths. Then let your hands relax in your lap. 11 Ways to a Better Posture

As a massage therapist, it's evident clients need help with either their neck and shoulders, or their low back—or all of the above. Most people have a tendency to blame these things on sleeping habits or sitting at a computer all day. While these things may be contributing factors, it's really the tension we hold subconsciously all day, every day, that eventually snowballs into real pain. 1. Be brutally honest about your posture. Breathing problems could even be related to curled-in chests. Don't blame it on your bed or your genetics; you didn't inherit a bad posture gene, you inherited the habit.
